    FILM SHOWS THE LITTLE JOE II LAUNCH VEHICLE BEING ASSEMBLED AT THE WHITE SANDS, NEW MEXICO, MISSILE RANGE (WESTERN US). LITTLE JOE II IS A VEHICLE DESIGNED TO SIMULATE FLIGHT CONDITIONS WHICH WILL BE ENCOUNTERED DURING ACTUAL FLIGHTS OF THE APOLLO SPACECRAFT (THE US MANNED LUNAR SHIP.)
    THE LITTLE JOE II ROCKET WILL BE LAUNCHED (NO EARLIER THEN 28 AUGUST) ON A BALLISTIC TRAJECTORY, GOING ABOUT 30,000 FEET UP AND 66 MILES DOWN RANGE. IF THAT TEST IS SUCCESSFUL, THE VEHICLE WILL BOOST TWO "BOILERPLATE" (ENGINEERING MODEL) APOLLOS AND ONE "FLIGHT CONFIGURATION SPACECRAFT.
