    General Mohammed Ayub Khan, who the day before took over as President from General Mirza, swore in the Presidential Cabinet on Oct. 28 (the title of Prime Minister has been abolished). The following day, the 29, he swore in another two members and later confirmed the oath of the whole Cabinet. This took place in the Supreme Commander's House-- formerly the Premier's official residence.

    The Cabinet now numbers ten.

    General Mirza, who ruled the country for three years, is reported to be on his way to Britain.

    Reactions in the newspapers and among influential people welcome the military take-over. The sister of the founder of Pakistan, Miss Fatima Jinnah, said that the exit of Mirza brought a general sense of relieve, during the three years he was in power he failed to solve any of the problems facing the country. A new era had began under the military, who had undertaken to root out administrative malaise and anti-social practices, to create a sense of confidence security and stability.
