    THE LEADER OF RHODESIA'S 13-MEMBER OPPOSITION PARTY, MR. CHAD CHIPUNZA, WALKED OUT OF THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE RHODESIAN PARLIAMENT IN SALISBURY ON WEDNESDAY (JUNE 22) IN PROTEST AGAINST MR. CLIFFORD DUPONT, THE OFFICER ADMINISTERING THE GOVERNMENT, READING THE SPEECH FROM THE THRONE.

    MR. CHIPUNZA SAID IN A STATEMENT AFTER LEAVING THE CHAMBER, THAT HE DID NOT ACCEPT MR. DUPONT AS REPRESENTATIVE OF QUEEN ELIZABETH, BUT ADDED: "OUR POSITION DOES NOT IMPLY NON-RECOGNITION OF THE GOVERNMENT AS SUCH."THE PRESENT RHODESIAN PARLIAMENT IS REGARDED AS ILLEGAL BY BRITAIN.

    IN HIS SPEECH, MR DUPONT REVIEWED EVENTS IN RHODESIA SINCE THE COUNTRY SEIZED INDEPENDENCE, BUT HE MADE NO MENTION OF FUTURE RELATIONS WITH BRITAIN, NOR OF THE PRESENT TALKS BEING HELD IN SALISBURY BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES. HE WENT ON:
