    THE COLONY IS REPORTED TO BE SELF-SUFFICIENT, HAS ITS OWN LAWS AND ONLY GERMAN IS SPOKEN. FOR THE PAST FIVE YEARS IT HAS DISCOURAGED ANY CONTACTS WITH THE OUTSIDE WORLD FOR ITS 235 MEMBERS.
