Mr. H. K. Yang, Taiwan's Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and President Chiang Kai-Shek's special?
Mr. H. K. Yang, Taiwan's Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and President Chiang Kai-Shek's special envoy to Africa, led a three-man delegation into Abidjan on Monday (30 August).
He told newsmen, on his arrival, that during his four-day stay in the Ivory Coast, he will discuss bilateral cooperation with Ivory Coast officials. He will also meet President Houphouet-Boigny.
Asked about moves concerning the People's Republic of China's admission to the united Nations, Mr. Yang said he would discuss the subject "with the proper parties."
His principal mission is to sign a new trade agreement, designed to develop relations between Taiwan and the Ivory Coast.
