Background: In Reykjavik in Iceland on Sunday (6 August) World Chess Champion Boris Spassky
of the Soviet Union scored a surprisingly easy win over American challenger Bobby
Fischer just as observers were beginning to dismiss his chances of saving the World
    Title.

After Spassky's win in this game, Fischer now leads by 6 1/2, points to 4 1/2,
but there are 13 more games to play in the Championship series. Spassky's play
in the 11th game was described by onlookers as aggressive and along similar
lines to the seventh game which he was only able to draw. His aides are hoping
this win will be the turning point in the Championships and that Spassky will
now carry an attacking game more and more to Fischer.
