There has been more opposition to Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin's peace proposals for the West Bank....and the bulk of it has come from Jews and Arabs living in the area who say they feel the plan is not acceptable to them.
SYNOPSIS: In Quiryat Arba, local jews joined with others from Gush Etzion to decide what further moves they'll take against the peace plan. Together, they make up the original West Bank settlers. Both the militant Gush Emunim organisation and the whole Israel Government were at the meeting. So too was the National Religious Party, and it was one of their members, Rabbi Druckman, who told the meeting that Mr Begin was negotiating away their rights...not just their security. The reaction of Arabs living on the West Bank hasn't been all that favourable either. Local Headmaster Kamal Jarrar didn't think the present plan acceptable, but he was still optimistic.
