Mr. Samuel Okiki Sarr, Gambia's first accredited Ambassador to Liberia since Gambia became a Republic, presented his credentials to President Tubman in a special ceremony at the Executive Mansion in Monrovia on Monday (24 May).

A guard of honour was waiting to greet Mr. Okiki Sarr, who is Gambia's first accredited envoy to Liberia since his country became a Republic last year.
Mr. Okiki Sarr, accompanied by Chief of Protocol James Morgan and Colonel Robert Gibson, inspected the guard of honour and troops on parade.
Inside the Executive Mansion the new Gambian Ambassador read out his speech of credence which paid tribute to Liberia's reputation as a peacemaker in what was described as "the great trials of modern African politics," and to President Tubman's leadership.
