  • Description

    ???
Lush fruit-trees thrive for kilometres on end at the foot of the Yenshan mountain in the north-west outskirts of Peking. A good ??? harvest is at hand.

Before the Nankow State Farm was set up in 1958, this place used to be a sandy area littered with rocks.

    A group of people
Tempered in the three great revolutionary movements--class struggle, the straggle for production and scientific experiment, the young men and women who came her more that ten years ago, have grown up like the sturdy fruit-threes they planted.

    Pan.

Wang Hain-chin, as urban-educated youth who came here in 1962, is a member of the Chinese Communist Party. She was elected to the farm's party committee in the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution and is also Vice-Chairman of the revolutionary committee of one of the branch farms.

    Picking
Inspired by the movement to criticize Lin Piao and Confucius, the farm's staff and workers reaped a good peach harvest this year despite a drought.

    Packing
The Nankow State Farm is now one of Peking's major fruit bases. Last year it supplied the capital with over 4.000,000 kilograms. With the project looking mere promising this year, it expects to send more than 5,000,000 kilograms of fruit to the market.
