  • Description

Leaving her husband, Soviet Premier Krushchev, and French President De Gaulle to a session of serious talks, Madame Krushchev and her three daughters went sightseeing in Paris Mar 24. First official visit for his family on day-two's itinerary of the Soviet leader's 12-day State visit to France, was to the Claude Monnet High School for girls.

During her tour of this very modern school Madame Krushchev watched some of the 2,600 students in classrooms, in superb kitchens learning pastrymaking, and enjoying physical training exercises in the gymnasium, said to be the finest in Paris.

Two students received an unexpected pleasure when Madame Krushchev embraced them warmly after they had presented her with a bouquet of red roses.

Later in the day Madame Krushchev was scheduled to attend a luncheon at the Hotel de Ville - City Hall - and a reception at the Chamber of Commerce, but before these events she was to enjoy something nearer to a woman's heart...a real Paris fashion parade organised by a big store. Girl models have been rehearsing for the show for the past two days.
