    In an exclusive interview with Visnews correspondent, Jean Magny, the Chief North vietnamese negotiator at the Paris Peace Talks said on Wednesday (16 Feb) that after the war his country would continue to pours the "construction of socialism".

    And Mr Xuan Thuy said the South Vietnamese people would establish a foreign policy based on peace and neutrality.

    But during the interview, Mr Thuy accused President Nixon of trying to use the Indo-China war to further his presidential election campaign
    Our correspondent, Jean Magny asked Mr Thuy about himself as a man and a diplomat - and for his views on Indo-China once the war is over His answer is considered significant because, observers note, he did not insist on a socialist future for South Vietnam.

This was the venue on Wednesday for an exclusive interview by Visnews correspondent, Jean Magny, with the head of the North Vietnamese delegation, Mr Xuan Thuy. At the residence - the delegation meets regularly to discuss matters raised at the talks.

    During the interview, Jean Magny was to ask Xuan Thuy about himself -- the man, and the diplomat. But first he asked him about the future facing Vietnam once peace is restored. Xuan Thuy's reply is considered significant - because, observers note, he did not insist on a socialist future for south Vietnam.
