Algerian rebel emissaries, M. Ahmed Boumendjel, M. Mohammed Ben Yahia and M. Hakiki Ben Amar,?
Algerian rebel emissaries, M. Ahmed Boumendjel, M. Mohammed Ben Yahia and M. Hakiki Ben Amar, flew into Tunis airport, June 30 from their 'cease-fire' talks at Melun, France, with French Government officials. A party of journalists were given an interview in the airport's reception hall.
In a broadcast in Tunis, July 5, Ferhat Abbas, Premier of the self-styled FLN Government, repeated the views of the FLN on the Melun talks. It was logical, he said, that the conditions and details of a cease-fire meeting should be worked out by mutual agreement, "But the French Government do not see it that way, they want to dictate the conditions to us."
