    A group of several hundred Arabs, Druse, and Bedouin, with some Israelis, demonstrated outside the Knesset against a hill that would remove from the courts' jurisdiction the question on land seizure in the area needed for the construction of airfields in Negev. About 2000 Bedouin herdsman and farmers live on this land and claim ownership, mostly through tribal heritage.

    A counter demonstration led by extremist, Rabbi Meir Kahana, marches up shouting slogans for more Jewish settlements in Judea and Sumaria (West Bank). Knesset police come in to move off the Kahana demo after they move in to harass Arabs, and scuffle w/ Kahana demonstrators.

    Kahana (in white shirt w/ blue skullcap) shouts "there is no Palestine" as he is dragged away by police.

    Arab demo continues.
