AT ONE POINT NIXON SHOOK HANDS AT THE SAME TIME WITH AN ISRAELI YOUTH AND AN ARAB YOUTH, BOTH STUDYING IN THE U.S. NIXON TOLD REPORTERS AFTERWARDS THAT MAYBE THAT HANDSHKEEE HANDSHAKE WAS SYMBOLIC. HE SAID +LEADERS LIKE MYSELF+ MUST REALIZE THAT PEOPLE ARE +TIRED OF WAR, TIRED OF CONFLICT AND WANT TO WORK TOGETHER.+ HE SAID THAT IT WAS GOOD THAT TWO YOUNG MEN FOR COUNTRIES AT WAR COULD MEET THE PRESIDENT OF THE U.S. IN NEWYORK AND COME TOGETHER TO SHAKE HANDS.
