    THE 13,217-TON FRENCH LINER, THE CAMBODGE, WAS YESTERDAY (WEDNESDAY) PREPARING TO GO INTO DRY DOCK IN SINGAPORE FOR REPAIRS FOLLOWING A COLLISION WITH KREBSIA, AN 18,000-TON OIL TANKER ABOUT FOUR MILES OFF SINGAPORE EARLY ON TUESDAY MORNING.

    THE CAMBODGE FROM MARSEILLES, AND THE KREBSIA WITH A CARGO OF FUEL FROM THE MIDDLE EAST, WERE COMING INTO SINGAPORE HARBOUR WHEN THEY COLLIDED NEAR THE IMMIGRATION ANCHORAGE OFF SAINT JOHN'S ISLAND.

    THE CAMBODGE WAS TO HAVE SAILED LAST NIGHT FOR SAIGON, HONGKONG AND JAPAN WITH HER 300 PASSENGERS, INCLUDING THE FRENCH MINISTER FOR CULTURE, M. ANDRE MALRAUX. SHE IS NOW EXPECTED TO BE DELAYED FOR AT LEAST TEN DAYS FOR REPAIRS TO THE STARBOARD SIDE AND SOME OF THE CABINS. THE KREBSIA WAS SLIGHTLY DAMAGED ON THE BOW.

    THERE WERE NO CASUALTIES. INVESTIGATIONS HAVE BEGUN INTO THE COLLISION.
