    AMERICAN COMEDIAN BOB HOPE IS IN SOUTH VIETNAM GIVING HIS TRADITIONAL SERIES OF CHRISTMAS CONCERTS FOR THE TROOPS. ON MONDAY HE PERFORMED AT LAI KEH NEAR SAIGON - ACCOMPANIED BY THE FIRST MAN ON THE MOON, APOLLO II ASTRONAUT NEIL ARMSTRONG; MISS WORLD, EVA STEIER; AND SINGER CONNIE FRANCIS.

    BOB HOPE TRAVELS FROM CAMP TO CAMP WITH TWENTY PERFORMERS, A 16-MAN BAND, AND A TEAM OF WRITERS, DIRECTORS AND ORGANISERS. THE WISE-CRACKING COMEDIAN STARTED GIVING CONCERTS TO TROOPS DURING THE SECOND WORLD WAR AND IS ALWAYS ACCOMPANIED BY A TROUPE OF SINGERS, PERFORMERS, AND PRETTY GIRLS. THIS YEAR'S TRIP TO SOUTH VIETNAM WAS NO EXCEPTION. FOR THE TROOPS IT'S A ONCE-A-YEAR CHANCE TO FORGET THE WAR AND LAUGH AT THE JOKES OF THE MAN WHO IS THREE TIMES AS OLD AS MANY OF THEM.
