    A CEREMONY WAS HELD IN GHANA'S EASTERN REGION LAST SATURDAY (25 NOVEMBER) TO MARK THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF THE OBO-KWAHU PRESBYTERIAN MIDDLE SCHOOL. THE CHIEF SPEAKER WAS GHANA'S CHIEF JUSTICE, MR. JUSTICE AKUFFO-ADDO.

    CO-CHAIRMAN FOR THE FUNCTION WERE OMANHENE OF KWAHU TRADITIONAL AREA, NANA AKUAMOAH AKYEAMPONG, AND LIEUTENANT-COLONEL E.A. YEBOAH, CHAIRMAN OF THE VOLTA REGIONAL COMMITTEE OF ADMINISTRATION.

    AMONG OTHER SPEAKERS AT THE CEREMONY WERE THE HEADMASTER OF THE SCHOOL, MR. L.A. DANQUAH AND MR. E.A. KORIE, A FORMER PUPIL.

    MR. KORIE LAUNCHED AN APPEAL FOR THE SCHOOL'S LIBRARY BLOCK.

    LIEUTENANT-COLONEL YEBOAH SAID THE GOVERNMENT WAS DOING ITS BEST TO IMPROVE GHANA'S EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM TO ENSURE MANY OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE YOUTH OF THE COUNTRY.

    THE CELEBRATIONS WERE FOLLOWED BY A GRAND DANCE.
