REPORTER: "They took him to the rear door alive?"
WOMAN: "Oh, yes, and they tapped him on the shoulder. We didn't believe - you know they were being so friendly with him. We didn't believe they were going to shoot him, Even where we heard the shots we thought it was just to frighten the people in the airport buildings. Background: All hostages held by the Palestine guerrillas who hijacked a British VC-10 to Tunis have now been released.
The four Arab gunmen Saturday night (23 November) first released thirteen of the thirty nine hostages they had been holding aboard the hijacked British Airways VC-10. They were released after five Palestinian guerrillas - who had staged the Rome airport bombing massacre nearly a year ago - arrived in Tunis from Cairo prisons. Earlier in the day, the gunmen had shot dead a West German Bank Kaneger and thrown his body out of the plane. The remaining hostages were freed on Sunday (25 November), when two Palestinian guerrillas were released by the Dutch.
Five of the women hostages arrived at London Airport on Sunday (24 November) and described the atmosphere in the aircraft to the newsmen at the airport. One of the - who has Indian nationality - told how the West German Bank Manager was murdered.
