Colombian secret police have organised a big search for Mr. Donald Cooper, United States deputy?
Colombian secret police have organised a big search for Mr. Donald Cooper, United States deputy manager of the Sears Roebuck chain of stores in Colombia. Mr. Cooper was kidnapped by three gunmen at his suburban home in Bogota on Tuesday (5 August).
As the search got underway, police said they had no clue where the 50-year-old executive was being held and no ransom demand had so far been received.
Mr. Cooper, who had just returned from holiday in the United States, was seized as he got out of his car at his home in an executive residential suburb.
The gunmen opened fire, wounding Mr. Cooper's chauffeur and a housemaid, before bundling the executive into a waiting car at pistol point and driving off at high speed.
