    PRESIDENT CEVDET SUNAY, PRIME MINISTER SULEYMAN DEMIRAL, CHIEF OF STAFF CEMAL TURAL AND COMMANDER OF THE NAVAL FORCES; ADMIRAL NECDET URAN, WERE PRESENT AT THE CEREMONY WHICH INCLUDED THE LAUNCHING OF TWO OTHER DESTROYERS.

    PRESIDENT SUNAY ASSISTED WITH THE WELDING OF THE KEEL.

    THE TWO DESTROYERS, LARGER THAN ANY PREVIOUSLY BUILT FOR THE TURKISH NAVY, WERE NAMED J.21 AND J.22. A LARGE CROWD AND MANY DISTINGUISHED GUESTS AND SERVICE CHIEFS ATTENDED THE LAUNCHING CEREMONY.
