Background: University students in Phnom Penh attended the funeral of a fellow-student killed in an anti-Presidential demonstration in the city last week, when police opened fire on a stone-throwing crowd. The students were protesting at a new constitution for the Khmer Republic, which gives President Lon Nol supreme power.

Buddhist monks said the funeral prayers.
