  • Description

While the rest of the world was observing Remembrance Sunday, Germany held her own remembrance.

She was remembering "Kristallnacht" (crystal night), the night of horror on November 9, 1938, when the Nasi hell was loosed against the Jews, when the broken windows were only of a sign of the horrors to come.

Those horrors included the Dachau concentration camp, the destruction of nearly 200 Synagogues and the imprisonment of 20,000 Jews in the camps.

The hundreds of young men who marched through Munich on their way to Dachau on Sunday were silent as they remembered the crimes of Kristallnacht.
