  • Description

Vadim Makeyev, a 14-year-old Russian schoolboy, is making a name for himself in Moscow as an outstanding child artist. Already his paintings have been exhibited - and experts are amazed at the talent and the perception the youngster possesses.

From an early age, Vadim showed unusually mature observation in his drawings. At Moscow Art School, his ability to view the world with the eye of an artist and portray people and scenes with feeling, has been keenly developed.

Few subjects escape his eager brush. Recently he did illustrations for Maxim Gorky's novel "Mother", and Gogol's poem "Dead Souls". Portraits, sporting scenes, and the surrounding Moscow countryside, are all captured on canvas by the promising young artist.
