The official figures of the recent Israeli elections and the distribution of seats in the 120 member Knesset, the 8th since the establishment of the State, were announced early this afternoon by Supreme Court Justice Chaim Cohen, Chairman of the Central Elections Committee. Present at the occasion were all the members of the elections committee as well as the Speaker of the House, Mr. Yeshayahu. After the official announcement, the chairman and then the various members of the committee signed the protocol, which will be presented to the Ministry of the Interior's safes. The chairman of the committee will also officially inform Pres. Katzir of the results and he in turn will call delegations of the various parties in order to consult with them on the formation of a future government, before conferring this task on Mrs. Meir, Premier designate of the largest party in the house.
