  • Description

During his trial in March, Adolf Eichmann will answer charges of the wartime mass murder of Jews from a bullet-proof glass "cell" in the court. At police workshops in Jerusalem, Jan 25, this protective booth was seen under construction.

Tests were also being carried out on the intricate electrical apparatus, to feed translations in seven languages to some 250 journalists following the proceedings.

The trial building has a cable office capable of sending 100,000 words a day. There will also be two broadcasting booths for correspondents reporting the trial direct to stations aboard.
