    THE SOVEREIGN'S PARADE AT THE ROYAL MILITARY ACADEMY AT SANDHURST IN BRITAIN WAS HELD TODAY (THURSDAY). ON THIS OCCASION, 175 CADETS "PASSED OUT" TO COMMISSIONS.

    THE PARADE WAS COMMANDED BY THE ADJUTANT, MAJOR M.A.P. MITCHELL, COLDSTREAM GUARDS, WHO RODE IN THE TRADITIONAL MANNER INTO THE ACADEMY ON HIS HORSE.

    COMMONWEALTH AND FOREIGN COUNTRIES WHOSE CADETS PASSED OUT INCLUDED MALAYA, NIGERIA AND RHODESIA.

    SENIOR UNDER OFFICER, M.R. FARLAND OF AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND, WON THE ACADEMY'S SWORN OF HONOUR AS THE BEST CADET OF THE TERM. HE WILL BE COMMISSIONED INTO THE ROYAL NEW ZEALAND INFANTRY REGIMENT.
