  • Description

Students from all over the world have gathered in Amman this week to participate in the Palestine Students Congress convened by the Palestine Students Organisation.

Delegates representing the United States and Europe are already in Amman, but members of the U.S. Black Panther movement, who were invited to attend the congress, have not yet accepted.

Prior to the first day of the congress the Palestine Students Organisation took their overseas visitors to the outlying areas of Amman where they were shown a Palestine Red Crescent (Red Cross) hospital which had been evacuated after being shelled in recent guerrilla clashes.

Cameramen were requested to stop filming the tour when several students became irate with pressmen but managed to capture film of the visit to a 1967 Refugee Camp where the students watched young Tiger Cubs undergoing the rigours of an assault course, and young girls performing military drill.
