    THE NEW FACTORY, WHICH COVERS 101 ACRES (41 HECTARES), IS OWNED BY I.C.I. (EUROPA) FIBRES LTD., A SUBSIDIARY OF IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES LTD., (ICI).

    SIR FRANK ROBERTS VISITED THE FACTORY WITH THE MAYOR OF OESTRINGEN AND SAW NOT ONLY FIBRES IN PRODUCTION, BUT ALSO MODELS WEARING SOME OF THE SORT OF CLOTHING INTO WHICH THE NYLON THREAD WILL BE MADE.

    THE FACTORY HAS IN FACT BEEN PRODUCING NYLON FIBRE FOR ABOUT A YEAR.

    IT JOINS THE 200 SUBSIDIARY AND ASSOCIATE COMPANIES WHICH ICI HAVE IN 45 COUNTRIES. IN EUROPA ALONE THERE ARE 27 SUBSIDIARY AND 36 ASSOCIATED COMPANIES.
