  • Description

Lynn Nightingale, the 18-year-old Canadian figure skater, took out the women's singles event at the traditional "Moscow Skates" international tournament held recently in the Soviet Union.

The tournament - for "Les Nouvelles do Moscow" Prize - was the first meeting of the world's top international skaters this season ... and as such was an important try-out for the forthcoming 1975 world and European championships.

Miss Nightingale's performance was noted by the judges for its grace and high speed.

After the competitive events, the winners presented an exhibition performance for the large and appreciative audience.
