  • Description

Field Marshal Lord Montgomery, who is Colonel of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment, attended the Regiment's service at St. Mary's, Warwick, to commemorate the fifteenth anniversary of D-Day. He gave the address at the service and had more to say about his recent talks with Mr. Khrushchev. He came back from Russia with the feeling that a way could be found by which East and West could live together.

At a march-past afterwards the salute was taken by Lord Montgomery who joined the Royal Warwicks as a subaltern fifty years ago.
