    A LARGE CROWD HAD GATHERED AT THE KUALA LUMPUR AIRPORT TODAY (SATURDAY) TO BID FAREWELL TO PRINCE PHILIP, THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH AT THE END OF HIS TWO-DAY VISIT TO THE MALAYSIAN CAPITAL. THE PRINCE LATER LEFT FOR BANGKOK, THE THAI CAPITAL, ABOARD AN AIRCRAFT OF THE QUEEN'S FLIGHT.

    THE MALAYSIAN PRIME MINISTER, TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN, ACCOMPANIED THE PRINCE TO THE AIRPORT WHERE THE PRINCE INSPECTED A GUARD OF HONOUR DRAWN FROM VARIOUS UNITS OF THE MALAYSIAN ARMY.

    ALSO OUT IN STRENGTH TO BID BON VOYAGE TO THE SMILING PRINCE WERE MEMBERS OF THE MALAYSIAN CABINET, DIPLOMATS AND BRITISH ARMED FORCES PERSONNEL. THE TUNKU WAS THE LAST TO WISH THE PRINCE.

    DURING HIS STAY IN THE MALAYSIAN CAPITAL, PRINCE PHILIP ATTENDED A SERIES OF FORMAL RECEPTIONS AND INSPECTION TOURS. THE TOURS INCLUDED A VISIT TO THE NEW MALAYSIAN MILITARY COLLEGE AND THE UNIVERSITY OF MALAYA. THE PRINCE ALSO HAD AN AUDIENCE WITH THE MALAYSIAN KING.
