The leader of Britain's opposition Labour Party Mr. Harold Wilson on Wednesday led a vote of his party's National Executive against joining the European Common Market on the present terms.
The Labour Party leaders who comprise the National Executive, some of them senior figures in Mr. Wilson's last Labour Government, voted sixteen for and six against a resolution condemning the Conservative British Government's plan to enter Europe on terms recently won by Mr. Geoffrey Rippon.
The resolution calls for Labour's annual Conference in October to unite wholeheartedly against the Government's policy.
