    THE COUNTRIES ATTENDING ARE: CEYLON, INDONESIA, SOUTH VIETNAM, LESOTHO, MALAWI, ETHIOPIA, KENYA, TANZANIA, SOMALIA, LAOS, SOUTH KOREA, THE PHILIPPINES, THAILAND, SINGAPORE AND MALAYSIA.

    BEFORE THE SEMINAR OPENED, THE DELEGATES WERE INTRODUCED TO THE MALAYSIAN PRIME MINISTER, TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN AND HIS DEPUTY, TUN ABDUL RAZAK.

    THE SEMINAR WAS OPENED BY ITS CHAIRMAN, TAN SRI ABDUL JAMIL BIN ABDUL RAIS, OF MALAYSIA.

    IN WELCOMING THE DELEGATES, THE TUNKU SAID THAT ONLY THROUGH FREE PARTICIPATION AND EXCHANGES OF IDEAS COULD DEVELOPING COUNTRIES IN AFRO-ASIA "GAIN AND REAP ADVANTAGES."
