The Ethiopian sovereign, emperor Haile Selassie, visiting Yugoslavia, arrived at Bled accompanied by his daughter Tenjanji/phonetically/, the members of his suite and the president of the Socialist federative republic of Yugoslavia, Mr. Josip Broz Tito, his consort Jovanka, Mr. Djemal Bijedic, Marko Bulc, Bosko Dimitrijevic, Stane Kavcic and others. In this exquisite Alpine holiday resort the guests were greeted by the representatives of the town council of Radovljica, while the president, Mr. Stanko Kajdiz invited them for a shorter walk along the shore of the Bled lake. This, of course, informal meeting with the two presidents represented a unique experience for numerous visitors of Bleb, more than two thousand in number, as well as for the most of the local population. Cameras enregistered innumerable cordial greetings and sincere welcome that people bid the two leaders, after which the honoured guests spend an hour on the terrace of the Kazino cafe. There the members of the two delegations freely exchanged their opinions with the representatives of the town council of Radovljica. Greeted warmly, the two statesmen together with their suite left Bled for Brdo near Kranj a little before 13 hours. X X X
Several thousand inhabitants and excursion-makers greeted the dear guest at the airport Brnik already, and later on all along the way, especially through Kranj, on the way up to Brdo, where the Ethiopian sovereign will reside during his stay in Slovenia. The president of the republic, Mr. Josip Broz Tito together with his consort Jovanka, gave a dinner in private tonight at Brdo dedicated to his friend and statesmen. It is expected that the official talks between the two statesmen will begin on Tuesday, while on Wednesday the Ethiopian emperor Haile Selassie will leave for Brioni. The visit of the Ethiopian sovereign will be concluded on Friday afternoon when in the company of the members of his court he will leave Pulj on the way to his home-country
