Background: The Czechoslovakian Prime Minister, Mr. Josef Lenart, ended his four-day visit to France today (Thursday) with talks at the Elysee Palace with President Charles De Gaulle. The 44-year-old Czechoslovak leader has already had talks with French Prime Minister Georges Pompidou.
Mr. Lenart was accompanied by the Czechoslovak foreign minister, Mr. Vaclav David. Mr. David had talks with his French counterpart, M. Maurice Couve De Murville.
The Czechoslovak visit is in line with President De Gaulle's campaign for restoring confidence and co-operation between the eastern and western states of Europe. President De Gaulle paid a visit to Prague in July last year.
