    THE CONFERENCE FOLLOWED A LUNCHEON GIVEN IN HONOUR OF THE VISITING PRESIDENT. THE GERMAN LEADER SAID IN A LUNCHEON TOAST THAT HIS COUNTRY WAS WILLING TO AID GABON ECONOMICALLY. PRESIDENT LUEBKE SAID WEST GERMANY HAD FOLLOWED WITH INTEREST THE ECONOMIC SUCCESSES WHICH GABON HAD ACHIEVED SINCE ITS INDEPENDENCE AND WAS READY TO CONTRIBUTE TO THIS WORK.

    MEANWHILE, THE GABON FOREIGN MINISTER, JEAN-REMY AYOUME, WAS SIGNING A GBP625-THOUSAND STERLING CAPITAL AID AGREEMENT WITH WEST GERMAN FOREIGN MINISTER WILLY BRANDT. THE AID WILL BE USED TO BUILD A WATER PIPELINE BETWEEN THE GABON CAPITAL OF LIBREVILLE AND THE TOWN OF OVENDO.

    PRESIDENT BONGO, WHO IS CURRENTLY ON A FACT-FINDING EUROPEAN TOUR, ARRIVED IN BONN YESTERDAY (TUESDAY) AFTER A TWO DAY STAY IN WEST BERLIN, WHERE HE HAD TALKS WITH THE GOVERNING MAYOR KLAUS SCHUETZ. TOMORROW (THURSDAY), THE THIRD DAY OF HIS WEST GERMAN VISIT, THE GABON PRESIDENT WILL HAVE A MEETING WITH CHANCELLOR KURT-GEORG KIESINGER. HE WILL LEAVE BONN BY AIR FORCE FOR PARIS EARLY ON FRIDAY.
