    COUNTRIES FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD ARE PARTICIPATING IN THE INTERNATIONAL FAIR WHICH OPENED IN TUNIS YESTERDAY (FRIDAY). TUNISIAN VICE-PRESIDENT BAHI LADGHAM CUT THE ENTRANCE TAPE TO OFFICIALLY OPEN THE FAIR AND THEN TOURED THE EXHIBITION STANDS AND MET THE VARIOUS AMBASSADORS AND REPRESENTATIVES OF THE PARTICIPATING NATIONS.

    AFTER MEETING THE ITALIAN AMBASSADOR, M. LADGHAM AND HIS PARTY VISITED THE ITALIAN STAND.

    AFTER VISITING OTHER EXHIBITS, M. LADGHAM CALLED IN AT THE UNITED STATES STAND, WHERE HE WAS MET BY THE AMERICAN AMBASSADOR. DURING HIS TOUR OF THE FAIR, M. LADGHAM WAS ACCOMPANIED BY THE TUNISIAN MINISTER OF PLANNING AND ECONOMY AND THE MINISTER OF INFORMATION AND CULTURE.

    ANOTHER STAND WHICH ATTRACTED THE ATTENTION OF THE VICE-PRESIDENT AND HIS OFFICIAL PARTY WAS THAT OF FRANCE -- WITH WHOM TUNIS STILL MAINTAINS STRONG ECONOMIC LINKS.

    THE NATIONAL TUNISIAN EXHIBIT WAS, NATURALLY, ANOTHER MUST ON THE DIGNITARIES' ITINERARY AT THE FAIR. FROM THERE THEY WENT ON THE KUWAIT STAND. THE GHANAIAN PAVILION, WHICH EXHIBITED MOST OF THE PRODUCT GROWN OR MANUFACTURED IN THE 57-MILLION ACRE COUNTRY, WAS A MAIN CENTRE OF ATTRACTION FOR VISITORS TO THE FAIR. THE TOP EXPORT PRODUCT, COCOA, SHARED HONOURS ON THE STAND WITH MINERALS, FOOD CROPS, TOBACCO AND HANDICRAFTS AND WORKS OF ART. THIS IMPORTANT STAND WAS ALSO ONE OF THE MAIN POINTS OF INTEREST FOR THE TUNISIAN VICE-PRESIDENT WHO, AFTER MEETING WITH THE GHANAIAN AMBASSADOR OUTSIDE THE PAVILION, LED THE PARTY ON AN EXTENDED TOUR OF THE ENTIRE EXHIBIT.
