A trio of top Russian Atomic Energy Research scientists arrived in Oslo on May 22nd. for a ten day tour of Norway, inspecting the joint achievements of the Norwegian Netherlands Institute of Nuclear Energy (JENER).
They are seen here at the Kjeller reactor that is under construction at present.Later they will travel to Bergen University and then on to the Faculty of Physics at Trondheim Technical University.
This visit, by Nicolay Vlasov, Sergei Skortsov, both heads of the Institute of Nuclear Energy in Moscow, and Igor Africantov, chief of Russia's first Atomic Power Station at Obnisk in Siberia, is a reciprocity of the tour by Norwegian Nuclear Scientists of Russia last December.
These Russians said that many Chinese students are studying the principles and applications of Nuclear Energy in Russia at present and, although they know that the Chinese Government is planning to construct Nuclear Power Stations, these scientists are not sure whether the Soviet Government is building any installations in China at present.
