Background: Thousands of pilgrims from Australia and Great Britain have converged on Lourdes, as part of the pilgrimages of the centenary year of this Holy Shrine.
Leading the Australian contingent, which has come via Spain, is Cardinal Gilroy, the Bishop of Sydney. The 150 sick and 1500 pilgrims of the British contingent were led by the Archbishop of London, Mgr Godfrey.
Our film shows the pilgrims leaving the station and proceeding to the Basilica, where, amid the fountains of the Grotto the sick and the devout receive the Blessing of the Bishop of Vienna.
