    ON NOVEMBER 17, THE PRINCESS BEGAN A THREE-DAY TOUR OF WESTERN JAPAN DURING WHICH SHE WILL SEE WOMEN PEARL-DIVERS AT WORK, AS WELL AS ANCIENT TEMPLES, SHRINES, AND CASTLES IN THE OLD CAPITALS OF KYOTO AND NARA.
