Background: The Chinese Vice Premier, Li Hsien-nien, has spoken of increasing co-operation between his country and Iran.
Speaking at a reception in Teheran, given by the Iranian Prime Minister, Amir Abbas Hoveyda, Li said he looked forward to expanding cooperation and friendly relations between the two countries.
Both leaders cited the trade and air transport agreements and cultural exchange programmes between the two countries as instances of the two governments' desire to strengthen and deepen their relations.
