    THE JAVELIN, ONE OF NINE FROM CYPRUS, WAS HANDED OVER TO THE MAYOR OF NDOLA, MR. LEONARD SHAMOYA, BY FLIGHT LIEUTENANT A.M. ATTARD, ON BEHALF OF THE RAF.

    THE JET FIGHTER, WHICH COST ABOUT A QUARTER OF A MILLION POUNDS WILL BE MOVED TO ONE OF NDOLA'S PARKS AFTER ALL THE DANGEROUS EQUIPMENT HAS BEEN REMOVED.

    THE REMAINING EIGHT JAVELINS, WHICH HAD BEEN ON OPERATIONAL DUTY IN ZAMBIA, RECENTLY RETURNED TO THEIR BASE IN CYPRUS.
