A delegation of the Kamptia liberation Front, an organisation seeking to overthrow the Khmer Republic Government of Premier Lon Nol, has been visiting Hanoi. The group is headed by Yeng Sa Ry, described as deputy defence minister of the organisation.
On November 15th, the group visited Party First Secretary Le Duan a the residence of President Ton Duc Thang. the following evening, also at the residence, an agreement was signed by Yeng and North Vietnamese Foreign Minister Nguyen Duy Trinh. Premier Pham Van Dong was also present, and a joint statement was issued claiming that 80 per cent of the Khmer land had been "liberated" by the Kamptia Liberation Front.

Party First Secretary Le Duan Was there to welcome Yeng Sa Ry, visiting North Vietnam as the leader of a revolutionary group from the Khmer Republic. The Kamptia Liberation Front is dedicated to the overthrow of the Khmer Republic Government of General Lon Nol.
According to North Vietnamese sources, Party Secretary Le Duan assured the visitors that North Vietnam would help the front in every possible way.
A further meeting was held the following evening, at which an agreement was signed by Yeng Sa Ry and the North Vietnamese Foreign Minister, Nguyen Duy Trinh. a communique was issued, declaring that 80 per cent of the Khmer land and more than five million of the Khmer people had been "liberated" by the Front, and that General
Lon No1's Government controlled only the area around the capital, Phnom Penh. The statement demanded the withdrawal of international support for the Khmer Government.
The North Vietnamese Premier, Pham Van Dong, attended the meeting, shortly before his official visit to Peking.
