Background: The cruiser of the Royal British War Navy HMS "Tiger" arrived on October 9th in Gdynia Port.
Mr. Colin Seaward, British Naval Attache and an Officer of the Polish War Navy were the first to welcome the British ship.
At 18 a.m. the ship arrived in Gdynia Port.
After the national anthems were played, Mr. R.J.C. Prease, British Consul in Gdynia, enters the ship.
A few minutes later Mr. Roland Edward Hutchins, commander of HMS "Tiger" received on land the honorary guard of the Polish War Navy.
Then Mr. Hutchins received on board of HMS "Tiger" the Polish rear-admiral Mr. Wisniewski.
In the afternoon commander Hutchins layed wreathes on Westerplatte /Battleplace of II world war/. In the evening a reception was given in honour of the British guests in the Garrison Club in Gdynia.
