  • Description

Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser was booed and jeered by more than 100 demonstrators, when he addressed an open air election rally in Brisbane on Thursday (24 November). While demonstrators waved placards and chanted 'Get Fraser out' the Prime Minister lashed out at what he called Labour's campaign of 'smear and innuendo'. The election has been called for December 10, and it will be the fourth time in five years that the Australia in people have been asked to go to the polls. Mr Fraser, who heads a coalition of the Liberal and Country Parties was in brisbane campaigning on behalf of Liberal candidate Don Cameron. Peter Harvey of the National Nine network, reports.
