SCRIPTING: See programme enclosed for complete details of procession. There was a very large crowd present. Programme went for about two hours. Many banners were displayed in the area: anti-colonialism/imperialism, crush Malaysia, and similar. Before the procession got under way there was much singing, clapping and music. Many of the songs were anti-Western, &c. - other music was Balinese and Indonesian national songs. Political slogans were carried, in addition to the usual AA banners.
