    EAST GERMANY WON ALL FOUR TITLES ON THE SECOND DAY (SUNDAY) OF THE CANOE SLALOM WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS CURRENTLY BEING HELD AT SPITTAL, AUSTRIA.AFTER WINNING THREE TITLES ON THE OPENING DAY, THEIR MEN YESTERDAY WON THE CANADIAN DOUBLE-CANOE, FOLDING SINGLE CANOE, AND THE CANADIAN SINGLE CANOE FOR TEAMS, AND THEIR WOMEN WON THE SINGLE FOLDING CANOE EVENT FOR TEAMS.

    OVER 220 BOATS FROM 14 COUNTRIES ARE COMPETING IN THE CHAMPIONSHIPS WHICH WILL BE CONTINUED WITH THE WILD-WATER EVENTS TOMORROW.THE LIESER RIVER COURSE FOR THE SLALOM EVENTS WAS 800 METRES (875 YARDS) LONG, AND THE COMPETITORS HAD TO NEGOTIATE 26 GATES.

    ACCORDING TO THE OVERALL UNOFFICIAL POINTS CLASSIFICATION, EAST GERMANY LEADS WITH 77 POINTS, FOLLOWED BY CZECHOSLOVAKIA WITH 34 AND WEST GERMANY WITH 22.
