Background: M. Maurice Couve de Murville, the French Foreign Minister arrived at Prague Ruzyne airport on Monday, July 25 for an official visit to Czechoslovakia. M. Murville was accompanied by his wife and other French officials. The guests were welcomed to Czechoslovakia by Mr. Vachav David, Czechoslovak Minister for Foreign Affairs and other leading officials of the Foreign Ministry. The French delegation was also met by members of the F
French Embassy in Prague.
Minister Mr. David then invited his French colleague and his wife and the other members of the delegation into the official salon at the airport and after a short friendly talk the guests, accompanied by their hosts left for their Prague residence.
M. Couve de Murville then paid an official visit on Mr. Vaclav David Czechoslovak Minister of Foreign Affairs at his official residence in the Cernin Palace in Prague. Mr. de Murville was accompanied by Mr. Roger Laouette, French Ambassador to Czechoslovakia and other officials.
Shortly afterwards both ministers began their discussions. They discussed matters of interest to both parties, especially those of the growth of mutual contacts and also on the international situation.
