    THE ANNUAL "GREEN WEEK" AGRICULTURAL EXHIBITION OF WEST BERLIN OPENED TODAY (FRIDAY) WITH PRODUCTS RANGING FROM CYPRUS WINES TO THE AMERICAN SPECIALITY OF CLAM CHOWDER. A TOTAL OF 1,300 EXHIBITORS FROM 34 COUNTRIES ARE ATTENDING THE 10-DAY EXHIBITION.

    THE CENTRE OF INTEREST AT THE BRITISH STAND IS AN OLD ENGLISH INN OR "PUB", DECORATED WITH FISHING NETS AND SHIPS' WHEELS AND LIGHTS. THE FIRST BEER AT THE PUB WAS DRAWN BY THE BRITISH COMMANDANT IN WEST BERLIN, GENERAL SIR JOHN NELSON. THE BRITISH EXHIBITORS ALSO BROUGHT A COMPLETE FISHING VILLAGE FROM DEVON IN SOUTH-WEST ENGLAND. THE DANES, CELEBRATING THEIR 10TH ANNIVERSARY AT "GREEN WEEK" BROUGHT ALONG A KOGGE, A VIKING STYLE BOAT. AS WELL AS THE NORMAL EXHIBITION STANDS AND HALL, THERE WAS ONE HALF FILLED WITH FLOWERS - COURTESY OF HOLLAND AND WEST GERMANY - AND ONE COMPRISING SOLELY OF LIVESTOCK.
