    Part of the publicity campaign, by an Italian synthetic fibres manufacturers, for aplastic ski jump ramp, was a practical demonstration, at Ponte di Lego, July 22. To add interest, the company, with the backing of the Italian Olympic Game Committee, arranged senior and junior international ski competitions.

    The practical advantages of the ramp are obvious - in a country like Italy skiers are hard pressed to find snow to practice on during summer. The plastic material is a satisfactory substitute.
